Hello everyone

any experience with these guys ?

what other anthias can be kept with them ?

thanks

IME they are moderately hardy once acclimated, but often come in rather skinny. Mine only ever ate small frozen foods.

Thank you Peter.

I have a trio in my Azoox reef, with low/no lighting, and alot of flow. the tank is fed every hour. 24/7. temp around 70-72.

but they dont seem to be eating like my other anthias in my sps tank, hopefully just need more time to settle in. they take cyclopeze and once in a blue moon some chopped up mysis.

I want to add another trio of anthias in this tank for more colors, but I guess it has to be in the same level as these guys to not have to compete with one another.

what are your thoughts on purple queen ?

I don't have personal experience with anthias in a constantly fed NPS system, but from what I understand it's the perfect setup for difficult anthias. Purple queens get kinda big for a 60 cube though... why not some ventralis or smithvanizi instead?

nice those two species look awesome ! specially the ventralis, Ill try to hunt some down.

thanks again :)

I had the same experience as Gary... with lyretails and ignitus as the other anthias.

thanks again guys,

these 3 and a goby and shrimp pair are the only thing in the tank right now, so they come out often .... but hide as soon as I make a fast move or too many ppl by the tank, so I know what you mean.

thats why I want to keep all the fish in that tank in same level of shyness so they can co-exist. still looking though lol candy basslet would be the holy grail for this tank, but out of my budget currently lol
