Time for a Tang or two-Which ones?

Well the BTT and the fox face are doing good but a bit shy still so Im looking to now put a couple tangs in my 250g. I was thinking of the following

1- Purple and Chevron

2. Red sea sailfin, chevron

3. Purple and blue hippo

I have plenty of rock and safe spot for them What do you guys think or recommend. Hoping for some more active swimmers.

You've got the space and the live rock so if your tank is stable you could get any of these tangs. My personal favorites are blue and yellow tangs (I know, I'm basic like that), but I'd reccomend the purple and blue hippo tang because there body shape is very different so they're unlikely to get into many fights, and they're coloration is different to add a different spice to the tank

Purple and chevron

Purple can be a little mean to new fish but it subsides after a day or two.

I had a chevron since it was a juvenile and although there beautiful when juvies, they turn quite drab when mature. I had mine for a few years and eventually got rid of it because it wasn't quite appealing in color and got very aggressive

Purple all the way. I loved the one I had. I really like Chevrons too. Blues are nice, but prone to ich.

I'd go with #1. Naso would be another good choice.

I have a desjardini and a yellow belly hippo. They get along fine, although the desjardini is easily 6 inches amd the hippo is barely 4 inches.
I can see that once the hippo gets of size he's going to be the aggressor.
To me the desjardini is one ofy favorites, and simply a stunningly beautiful fish, especially in adult form.
I really wish I could have a purple and the desi, but I'm very happy wity 2 tangs.
The desjardini has an awesome personality, constantly in your face. I call him the mayor because he's in everyone's business and has to know whats going on.
He even protects the other fish. One time I was trying to get a piece of cyano off of my porky puffer and everytime my hand went towards the puffer the sailfin would try to tail whip me. I had to keep him away with my tongs, while I wiped the cyano of the puffers belly.

My guy. Pretty close to the size of my hand.

I would go stay away from the chevron simply because of how they look after they mature most want to get rid of them after they are no longer juveniles which is kind of sad

Beautiful sailfin. Yeah I hear ya on the chevron, too bad the rarity makes it so expensive. I don't want the blue to bully anyone so maybe a sailfin and a kole or a more mellower bristle tooth.

That is a great combo, too bad it will cost me at least 200$
Your tank cost you quite a bit. One time fish buy is likely the least of your cost.

Chevron and Sailfins get a lot bigger than other tangs. Your tank is fairly big but these fish added a lot of bio mass.
I would recommended a Purple and a Powder blue. I would add the purple first and powder blue last. PB is a aggressive fish and does not take it kindly to other tangs that added after him.

What is a BTT?

I hear ya. The red sea is awesome, too bad it and a purple would kill each other.
When I was a newbe many moon ago, I had a Sailfin, Purple and Yellow in a 90 gal tank. They did fine for 2 years until I broke my tank down.
If you want, that combination is fine. They will be fine in your 250.

Sailfin and Chevron.
Before I knew any better I had a Desjardini in my reef.
In less than 2 months I had to rehome him. He is now in a nice 350.
Most beautiful fish ever. He is the reason I will one day have my 400 gallon tank.
And I think the adult Chevron is still stunning, even if not as eye catching as the juvie.
