Took a pic of how tank looks today. Long way to get it to its former glory but I'm determined to get there. I measured Alk last night after 11 days of Alk doser being offline and water changes and Alk is still at 8.9. Didn't feel like filtering so pic is on the blue side as you can see

Interestingly as I was cleaning bottom a couple days ago I came across this little fragment of my Setosa colony that did not survive. It must've broke off while doing tank maintenance and managed to survive throughout this ordeal. It's browned but it seems to be ok. Hopefully all tissue will heal with time

No lol. I removed and scrubbed what I could with a steel brush the other day. Tank and rocks actually are still dirty and I've had some algae bloom. I'm sure nitrates went up some. As for the scape some was destroyed by having to break in the attempt to save and salvage what we could and there's still some in a bucket in garage that I'll be bleaching in the near future. Most of those are the magnetic frag stations

Btw, that's the OME I picked up from you in the middle of pic on the flat rock. It's grown well. But since the issue it has lost that real nice yellowish color and is more a plain green.

Oh no. I was showing my boy about your awesome SPS frag pictures. Hopefully, start of Dodgers season bring you some joy. I'm sure you will be back in no time, but seeing a tank crash really sucks. I still remember seeing one of my prized ricordea melt away, nothing I could do to stop it.

Noooo Rik! Super sorry to hear what happened! I wish I had some sps to donate to your rebuild but the only piece I have is bleaching out and I don't know why. Still haven't gotten it down yet. I think I need to pay someone to come over and smack me around cause I'm obviously doing something way wrong. Picked up a doser. I've managed to keep Alk at about 9.5 and still can't get this damn Slimer happy

Chris, if you need help just have to ask. Slowly drop Alk to 8 or so. I think slimer will respond but there might be other things. What lighting are you using and where is the slimer placed?
