Thanks for the hand-holding that you guys have been doing for me as I've whined and fussed and carried on about ich that killed my powder brown.
To save his buddies, I'm fallowing my 180g DT and it will be a long process (more whining to come no doubt). I've got a 20g long as my treatment/hospital tank. I'm setting up a 55g for the happy fish camp out aquarium for the fallow. (Just what my very crowded living room needed to increase the cozy factor.) As I catch my fish a couple at a time, I'll treat them and then move them into the 55. Lather, rinse, repeat, until all of them are cycled into the 55g.
And then wait............10 weeks I guess.........but who will be counting?
Once my tang died, I thought maybe I would just start the process when I get back in town. Then I looked at my clown and realized she was not well. Tonight I caught her and plunked her into the hospital. It will be a little trickier for my house sitter but he'll get combat pay for dealing with it. I just couldn't risk her. We've had her 5-6 years.
Just an aside, the fish trap I borrowed from Fishy Biz worked like a charm. It has been in my tank for a few days just sitting there. Tonight I fed them right in from of it. A little while later, I squirted a little food into it. Now one of my gobies has been scooting in and out of it for days. This goby and my clown have a very odd relationship. Once the clown saw the goby getting food in there, she cautiously swam in. In a bit, I put a little more food in the trap and in she went. I cut the thread and trapped two fish at once.
