Hello CMAS,
Well I must admit that it really kinda sucks that I am going to be one more of those "taking down the tank" threads. There have been way too many in the forums recently. But, I will be taking a break from the hobby for a little while so that I can focus on some larger issues in life. I am about to purchase a house and I would like to get my graves disease under control before getting back in. I might keep my 20 gallon setup running without any fish but honestly im not sure yet.
I am ONLY selling livestock (fish, corals, inverts). I will NOT be selling any of my main system equipment or essentials as I plan to seriously get back into the hobby within the near future (year or two). I might try to get rid of my extra equipment and misc. parts but I have to see what I have.
All of the items are on a first come first serve basis. I will only take Pm's with regards to these sales and I would prefer to drive to you and drop them off (with the exception of #8). Copy and paste the example list below into a PM to me and fill out the info. It will make it easier on me. I live near 31st and halsted and my name is Jim @ (773) 851-5505

Up for sale I have the piece de resistance of my tank. My Queen Angelfish. I am Darn proud of my fish and she takes the cake. If anyone is familiar with my saltwater practices they will know I am a MASSIVE advocate of quarantine. You couldnt pay me to put anything into my tank and as such, this fish is as clean as a whistle. Treated for everything that I currently know of. She has been through a full successful round of copper and treated for flukes, worms, etc.. She is fat and healthy and Ive had her since she was a juvi. Before she was introduced into the main display, it ran fallow for 4 months and not a single coral, invert, rock, sand, water, or hand from another persons tank has touched my system water since then. (yes that means I do have colonies to sell below). I would like her to go in a tank that has a footprint of at least 6' by 2'. She eats from your fingertips and follows me every time im in sight. No joke.
Priced at $100 for the healthiest angel around.

Next up I have a haitian reef anemone. This anemone has not been fully quarantined and has not been in a tank that meets the 3 month mark of my stringent fallow procedures. She is alive and pretty healthy. About the size of a baseball when fully open and attached to a 16 pound rock (would like to keep the rock hopefully). I honestly dont know the going rate for anemones so ill try $30 for this guy (rock included) $20 if we can get her off it? Currently she is under T5's.
NOTE:
EVERYTHING below this point is from my main display and has been treated for all bugs and is just as clean as my angel. I chose my corals VERY carefully before putting them in my system and most of them are extremely prized color combos from reputable venders/locals. They look like poo now (I changed the lights and blasted them) but you will NOT be disappointed! Ive always said that Ive gotten fish down pat, but those corals are tricky.

First on the list is some green poci. I have two large colonies. One colony is the size of your two fists balled up and placed in tandem. The other colony is the size of the top third of a beach volleyball. I can break these guys apart for about 20 $10 frags or sell the colonies for $60 and $40 respectively. I put a quarter next to them to give a reference for size.
#4
Purple tipped, green skin with new growth and blue skinned old growth sps. One of my favorite corals that has again, lost its color due to my light bulb change. 15 or so frags for $20 per frag. Gorgeous coral.
#5
Blue polyp pink skinned sps. 4-6 frags for $15 each
#6
Red monti - large shelves 3-4 large frags $10 each
#7
Green purple rimmed monti - 2-3 frags $10 each
#8
Bucket o pulsing Zenia, Brown monti, kenya tree, green monti, other misc small frags - $5 for a lot of any one coral.
Thanks!
