Tinpanva's Reef Part Deux - 60 Cube

Thank you very much for that, but now I'm a tad confused. Which light were you originally running on the 29? Looks like a Hydra 52 in the pics. The settings above were from which light?

Thanks again!

Orininally it was the AI Vega (the program written out), but I did the puck upgrade to the Hydra 52 which it what I have now.

Great, thanks. The Vega was 95 watts, correct?

Just trying to compare your peak levels with what I am shooting for in the 56g tank (34x19x20) I'm picking up tomorrow. Current lighting plan is 2 AI Primes for a mixed reef.

Managed to grab a few photos today. Tank seems to be doing well, things are stable so no complaints. Diatoms aren't too bad an not getting worse. Even the skimmer has settled down.

FTS 1 Month 4 Days (Day 6 for animals)

Here we are at the (just over) 2 month mark. Had a moderate GHA outbreak, mostly on the back wall. Nothing unusual with a new tank. Just for shnits-n-giggles I put my lawnmower blenny in there to see if he would munch on any of it. Didn't have high expectations as I thought he preferred macro or film algae. Let me tell you, he dug into that stuff like an all you can eat buffet. Back wall is clean and top of tank (where he stays) about 80% clean. Bottom half still has some, so I figure a few turbos should finish it off nicely.

Corals have colored back up nicely with one exception, the ORA Borealis, one of my fav's. Hopefully pulls through. My Rose Milli hasn't gotten it's "rose" back yet, but is healthy and encrusting.

A few up dated photos from this past weekend. Starting with my SPS

Wow! Colours look amazing!

What is the filtration on this tank?

What do you dose?

What do you feed the fish?

Thanks.

I'm running a Omega 150 skimmer, filter sock, and a block of biomedia in the sump.

Pumps for calc and alk, Red Sea Coral Colors ABCD, Red Sea Reef Energy AB (all daily)

I give them a few pellets in the morning, Reef Frenzy in the evenings. On Wed. I add a pinch of Coral Frenzy to the Energy AB, and on Sat. a pinch of reef chili to the Energy AB.

I also run biopellets.

I try to maintain a strict no beer in the reef policy. :lmao:

Your new tank is looking spectacular. Your biocube 29 was the inspiration for my current biocube build. I'm hoping my tank one day merely resembles your old 29 and I would be happy.

Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Here's the trio I picked up last week, everyone looks super healthy the following day.

Hey! Nice set up. I really like the scape and the corals are doing very nicely.
I might have a man crush as well..
Looking forward to watching this reef grow out.

Thanks guys! It's a slow process for sure but looking forward to this tank getting stuffed like my last one. That one took three years

It would be neat for sure, but I didn't like the fan design of the rations. I don't recall ever hearing of anyone that had a problem with them tho. Of course when I was choosing between the two, they didn't have the cool web interface. That's the way my luck runs tho, I could fall into a bucket of breasts and come out sucking my thumb.
