Tiny Air bubbles in the tank.

I am getting tiny air bubbles in the tank. I noticed this when i adjusted my overflows so that i can turn up my return pump to full speed. I wanted advise on how i can eliminate this problem. I have a 1" pipe system, 75 gallon tank, and a custom refuge under my tank and it has a fuge on one side and the return/sump is in the middle and the skimmer is on the other side. I put some blue sponge like material in the bubble trap which did reduce the bubbles in the tank but not enough. I attached some pictures of the sump/fuge.

looks to me as you are getting bubbles passing through into your return area - looks to be produced by the skimmer

Is the bubble trap just sponge? or is there some sheeting for an under and over type fitting

Can you get a picture of your skimmer, what brand is it. You may be able to do some things with your skimmer return to eliminate most of your problem.

Common problem with too much return pump flow. You can put a filter sock under the drain, or reduce the return pump flow back to where it was.

nope they won't cause a prob. most ppl just don't like the looks of them. however i think if you had way to many then it may cause some corals to get air in their body which isn't good but that would take alot of them

I put a filter sock on the output of my skimmer..and another filter right underneath is for extra benefit. I do change them out once every 2 or 3 weeks to be safe.

Would it be a good idea to put carbon in the filter sock and attach the socks to the drains. I dont think the bubbles are comming from the skimmer cause my skimmer sucks and never had this issue before. The skimmer is a Excalibur. The problem i believe is the overflows. They are pulling in air and they are sucking the water down. I can see big bubbles comming out of the drain pipes.

i put a filter sock in both drains and still have very little bubbles. i even added more water in the sump so that the top of the water is not close to the return pump. Should I put carbon in the filter socks.
