Tiny black snails

There's an explosion of tiny black snails. They're congregating on my recovering monti and all over the glass

Any idea if they're not the usual algae eaters?

I see Cerith's in the foreground, could be babies? It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the shells look similar to Cerith's.

I agree. They may be eating the algae growing on the coral skeleton.
