I bought a small sps with a few of these things attached to the frag plug. Now, a year later, they have popped up on several places in my tank, but never really a lot of them in the same area.
I have friends in the hobby that have had this type of coral. It's attractive at first, but can become very invasive. Because the polyps are so small, its difficult to keep them from spreading.
I would try to frag them off of your rock and keep them contained if you want to keep them at all.
Thanks for the info.
I've never really liked them and would want to see them gone. They are pretty much all over my small 20 gallon tank and all my rocks are glued together. They seem too small for manual removal inside the tank. I've been thinking about trying to kill them with a toothbrush, but I fear they will just spread even more if I do(?)
Any small fish that are likely to eat these but leave sps alone? Maybe a dwarf angel of some kind?
