Tiny Might skimmer rockin'

Sounds like a jackoff in the making to me. I hate it when people use DIY forums to show off what they're building and then they don't tell anyone how they're doing it and with what cuz they're planning on selling the stuff....
 
He said that people need to research it to find out like it was a game of sorts. I don't think he wants to sell it, just being stingy.
If you are ghonna show the stuff and the finished product in the diy forum, why not share the rest? I don't know...
 
Some people just deserve to be kicked in the nuts.... It is a simple concept :)

Please show me the thread also... I like to start trouble!
 
As I remember I saw that photo here on RC someplace also.. It may be that the moron on that forum can't tell anybody where he got it or what it is... because he has no idea. He may have just robbed the photos and claimed the idea was his, even though he has never seen the stuff.

So Scott, whatcha think about the fiber mesh in the Tiny Might?
The guy says the more air he adds the less turbulent the skimmer is. I think it is worth a shot!

It was a little giant PE-1....That was my response to the old Reef-tecs before the Tunzes came out. I hated the big ole box looking thing so I made 2 of these and put them at both ends of the 90 I had. The flow was incredible but the pumps didn't last longer than a year or so....

it might be a good thing but the housing wouldnt work with that style of wheel. the housing area is too small and the fiber would wear it out.
 
It is .40" thick. You don't think it will fit with the housing relieved?
And the fibers are only .030 diameter!

Hey you guys- I have access to a new 27" diameter by 44" tall acrylic tube for $900....It's a guy on Ebay that's local and he said he'd let it end early for $900 :-P He also has a 18" x 30 for $300 that my friend is buying for us to build the tiny might skimmer with :-)
 
Dang, why is it that i get acrylic tube envy although I am really happy with my skimmer? I would love to get my hands on that 18" tube!
