Tiny Might skimmer rockin'

I like the idea of not having to clean better with the gutterguard. The problem seems to be the increased wattage. The PF13 is the one to use. I got samples in and I truly believe it would be a better performer because it takes the wattage down versus up like the gutterguard. The strands are so small and dense. The problem is the maintenance issue. The tiny might would be a pain to take apart monthly. But the guys that have used it are having tremendous success.

Isn't that the stuff that the bubble master thing uses? I think I like your idea better- No cleaning hassles
Yep, that is the exact material.

Where did you see the Gutter Guard makes the Watts go up?
I have not seen that yet.

I guess I assumed the wattage went up from the talk of tank temperatures rising. Usually increased tank temp is from increased wattage.

the temp issue was taking about OTP pumps in general. nothing to do with the mod. i did check it with my amp meter (not watts meter) and the same as stock NW maybe less ( my amp meter very in accurate).

any updates on the mesh on your tiny might?

No i haven't changed it over. It is really woking awesome with the current NW configuration. Also, I actually had someone that bought the skimmer, so I will be building another one to replace it. I still have this one right now but I don't want to do any experimenting on it as I don't want to mess it up.

he sold it and started on a new one... I just sold an Alita air pump to the new owner... Give it a week or so and the original Tiny Might will be up and running in a new home.

I got this skimmer from Mike a cuppla days ago. We made some changes, like taking the Tiny Mite off and using a Dart. Air is bieng supplied by an Alita 40. Got it running Yesterday...The amount of air that this thing churns is nothing short of fantastic. The air/bubble column is so dense light cannot penetrate it at all. When I went to pick it up, it was running on his patio, and the first thing I said was "It's not big enough."
I might have been wrong (OK Mike, U happy?) I anticipate a fantastic skimmer once this one breaks in...I highly recommend these Dart needle/threadwheel skimmers. AND. A big shout out to Msr. Jagneaux...
