One of my colonies havin established for months all of sudden appears to suffer tip burns. Still full polyp extension though. Most of the tips are still ok. Some of my colonies suffered the same, just like this. Full pe then tip burns then tissue loss.

I changed gfo and carbon recently.

Usually they first colored up as most of them were brown when introduced. Then they got thinner and paler. Then tip burns happened. And it happens most to those smooth skin acro's.

My first guess is that your Alk seems a little on the low side. I notice at least with my stuff that it doesn't look so hot if I let my Alk drop that low.
That along with a GFO changeout, which seems to spike Alk even lower for a bit, depending how much GFO.
Not sure what you are using to test your Alk but if it's off and reading a little high, then your Alk might actually be even lower.

Yep what he said. Also would look at you alk/Ca balance and stability. You are describing classic symptoms of an imbalance. I have seen high ca cause the same symptoms as well.
