BUY A REALLY GOOD CAMERA :D
I can't take good pics with my crappy Nikon 5400. So I borrow my brother in law's camera to test it out. It's a Canon Rebel Xti.
This is the first time I use this camera. I just point and click. :smokin:

It's on my "to have" list for next year.

Great pics. I have an XTI and have been very happy with it. Which lens were you shooting with?

Thanks for sharing,

Jonah

Hi Elite. How did you take the photos? Just in Auto? Did you use the telephoto feature or macro?

The len is the stock len that come with the camera (sorry I dont know :D) ... I use the no flash and auto focus mode.

He has HLLE :(
It was like that when I got it from my brother in law tank. We have it for two years now. I feed him a lot of good food but never improve .. Other then that he's pretty fat :D ..

Phong, I guess your wife and kids know what your want for Christmas. :D

Those are really nice pics, especially if you took them as a novice. I don't know squat about picture taking, much less about the technical side of photography.

I told my wife to get me that camera. She said no. .. I guess I just have to buy it myself :eek1: :D

If I know a little bit about the camera, I should be able to take better shot. I can't take clear shot of my fish with the Nikon 5400. I tried all the modes but it wouldn't work.

I just ordered one too with 15% off sale, almost $350 off:
-Canon Rebel XTi SLR Camera with 18-55 mm Lens - Black
-NB-2LH Extra Battery Pack
-Canon EF 100 mm f 2.8 Macro Lens
-4 GB Sandisk Ultra II CompactFlash Card
-Canon Speedlite 580EX flash
-Canon Deluxe Tripod 200
-Lowepro SlingShot 100 AW All-Weather Sling Bag

Now I got a lot of reading to do on photography!

DELLdotCOM has 15% off all orders/items currently on Dell Home Electronics & Accessories...free ground shipping too and overnight only cost me $24 additional.

Act fast if you want, dunno when it ends. It was cheaper than B&H Photo when compared. Canon also has rebates currently on certain items. Dell also has the 30D with 15% off plus $100 rebate from Canon. :)

If you dont shoot in full manual, the XT or XTi would be more than enough. Save your money and dont get the 30D. Get a good lens with the money instead.

Plus if you arent going to print anything larger than 11x14, the XT would be a really good buy. A lot of places have it for sale for as little as $575 without a lens. You can buy a decent lens for the price difference.
