Tips on Monti Cap ?

montipora capricornis in orange??? I have only a few corals and i am taking things real slow, tank has been running for a few years as a FOWLR and i have slowly improved it.

I got this for free, forgot the name and have no idea how to care for it. I have T5X6 lighting it located on the top of the water column of a 90 gallon. I have had to for about four months and it's growing. the leading edge seems to be growing down a little and underneath you see these little off shoots growing down. I thought this might be getting too much light. I searched here but could not find the very basic info I was looking for. But i am not even sure i am searching under the right name of the coral. I thought maybe someone could educate me a little.

do you have more flow below the cap, than over? flow is a major factor in how a cap grows. high flow on top of the coral will get tall growth.

the picture is washed out from the light, could be to much light too. hard to tell.

Here is another view. I would say the area it's in is low flow.
