tissue dangling from clam, Help please.

hi, I noticed some kind of tissue dangling from underneath my Derasa this am...then I noticed that his opening seems to be asymetrical...that may be because he has himself wedged up against the glass...but I'm wondering if either of these are signs that he is in trouble.

Should I pull him out of the tank and remove the dangling tissue?
Should I move him back away from the tank wall?

Thanks,
Romayne

He's lookin good. As long as there's room for it to "wiggle", it's ok to be against the glass. There's no pressure on it--it's not wedged in there.

Thanks for your response Mvite & jmaneyapanda. Today he seems to be stressing a bit (pulling his mantle in) and has been rocking back and forth and then opening up again. I think there is a conch or snail bugging him. He's been happy for the past 8 months so this new behavior just worried me a bit.
