So I have had my tank up and running for about 3 months now.

It is a 180 Gallon with 180 lbs or live rock and 180lbs of live sand

Current stock List...
Dog Face Puffer (3 inches)
Emperor Angel (4 inches) still junv stage... starting to change within the last week
HarliquenTusk Wrasse (2 inches)
2 True Percula Clowns (2 and 1.5 inches)
Coral Beauty Angel (2 inches)

I have a 40 gallon sump with protein skimmer and sock filter...

Can I add a Tang or will it make the tank to crowded once everything is grown... I am leaning towards no...

Only had the Angel for a little over a week... but everyone is healthy and eating :D

A vlamingii no, but one of the smaller ones should fit no problem. Which tang(s) did you have in mind? Can you post more specs of your filtration? Which skimmer, refugium y/n? etc...

Coral Life Super Skimmer Needle Wheel 125Gallon
just a plan sock fliter... the tank is drilled not overflow...
I also have a CA reactor that came with the tank... I purchased the tank used the skimmer and sump new...
the tank was drilled and had great lighting 2 neon normal lights but 3 Metal Halide lights with timers for all lights... and the CA reactor the previous owner had a reef setup... because I wanted a puffer I could not do that...

I would really look into a more powerful skimmer asap. Even before you added the angel you were underskimming IMO. Many love Euro-reef, I'm a AquaC guy, find one that you like.

If you can, look into adding a ball of cheato to part of your sump or completely add a refugium with DSB, extra LR and lights.

Lastly, which tang did you want?
