Hi,
I actually started my reef with a used tunze 9410.
As I read quite often, it takes a while until it gets quiet, ttalking about the pump.

However, I have quite a feeling that my Skimmer cup is a little loose and makes quite some noice while running. That really annoys me every day.
As soon as I press the cup down with my hand, everything is fine and I can only hear the noise of the pump.

Anyone some experience with this?

About 2 years ago they changed the body so the cup is tight and doesn't vibrate, however the lid can still make some vibration noise. On the older models I have seen people add a weight to the lid or place a rubber band around the cup to dampen the vibration.

cant speak to the noise problem because my 9410 is in the basement but otherwise, this little skimmer is amazing.

I use the foam extractor and not the cup The foam extractor is fantastic for the 9410. very quiet

where did you get the foam extractor?
It was not part of mypackage.
