They are expanding all over rochester and into all the suburbs. Sign up and they will expand quicker. I have signed up and say anyone that wants to see TWC hurt or just want cheaper and faster internet should sign up. Add in Googles Chrome Cast. You will never need TWC again. Thats my plan I really hope Green Light comes to spencerport soon.

i wish i could just cut the cable but my wife will never go for it. there are two many obscure crappy shows she watches that are not on hulu. she refuses to go to the "illegal" steaming sites because they are "too complicated"

Oh my. My wife is all for cutting the cable. She may not be good at the PC but with Chrome cast I will favorite her shows and then she can load them and then 1 button throw them to the tv. With Green Light the speeds will be there for HD as well. I can't wait to cut the cable fully finally.

Interesting, but not cheaper than TWC - it's close though. I do love how cable companies are quickly becoming a thing of the past. Of course, the smart ones will reposition/reinvest.

I have cut cable about 4 years ago and I would never go back. I bought a Netflix Subscription, the NHL package and we also have Amazon prime. For my setup I use mainly a Roku box as it comes with a lot of free content...PBS, CNN, RedBull TV and so on.

Check out these guys too they offer fiber optic connection in the finger lake region. http://www.fltg.com/service-FiberOptic.html

I am currently with FIOS.

For a person who never had cable it was very easy. I am always shocked what people are paying for TV services, especially some of the sports packages. We have Netflix and hulu + and still rarely watch anything. Have been thinking of getting rid of RR as the only house computer is never used. Cellphone hot spot helps run iPads and Netflix on TV.

I finally dumped TWC altogether. I have my iPhone/Verizon. Is there a way for my daughter to use my cell as a hotspot for her laptop?

Of course I'm extremely interested in the Green Light service coming to Spencerport!

Yes Gary you can use your iPhone has a hot spot, but it might be an extra charge to be able to do so. You might already have it and paying for it. to turn your iPhone into a hot spot follow these instructions.

Do you have the latest version of the iOS (Software on your iPhone)
1. click on settings
2. Personal Hotspot and turn it on.

There might be some setting that needs to be configured like network name (SSID), Encryption (Use WPA2) and password.

Your daughter should then see your new "Wireless" network and just have her put the password in and she should be ready to go.
