I run 2 mp10QD, one on each side of my 40B. Run them at 80-90% in reefcrest. They are not the wireless model. Plenty of flow and I get just a little sand movement when they both are hitting their peak at the same time.
So I've for some reason always kept the mp10 on the same side ad my return nozzle.... Probably due to the frogspawn being under it and didn't want to directly slam flow into it....
Am I out of line by saying moving the current mp10 to the opposite side of the return will be better than spending $285 on another mp10?
well if you think it is enough then don't worry about it. Or throw something cheaper on the opposite side. Korallia has a nano now that is 525 gph. I use 2 of those toward the back of the tank facing each other to create some water movement behind my rock structures.
My return is only ~130 gph after head loss so it isn't creating much flow.
I'm getting plenty of action and swirls on the left side where the mp10 is now, and in the middle of the tank, and just around where the nozzle is pointed, but the right end of the display is dead...
