Hey guys i got a hair alge problem and i have done tons of water changes, turned lights back, changed light blubs, changed ro filters. but the alge has taken control and growing way to fast, i pull tons by hand every week. do you guys think i have way to much lights. i got 3 400w MH lights with 4 65w actinic blues. tell me what u guys think.

blue come on at 9am MH comes on at 11am MH goes off at 6pm moons come on at 7pm blues go off at 8 pm and moons go off at 8 am

Nutrients + light equals algae growth. The more nutrients, the more algae. I would check your water quality.

Do you use RO/DI for makeup and water changes.

yes i have an ro/di filter for all my water.

If your TDS reading is 42 on RODI water, you need to change the filters. (likely all of them). If you have a phosphate test, you might run the test on your makeup water.

so you think it isnt stripping all of the stuff out of the water causing it to produce phospates.
