To my surprise

So the biggest reason i dicieded to do a reef tank was to be able to have a Mandarin. But i had the worries that everyone else does that they are so easily starved. So i have been pumping copepods in my tank for about a year. So the other day i took a the plunge and bought one. But when i got home i was suprised to find that this little guy eats everything. Yes he does hunt for pods but he eat the mysis and krill i feed my other fish so im really happy. Anybody else have this happen to them without really tring and putting alot of time into trianing them to eat other food?

I have a pair and they eat everything. Didnt do anything special and didnt train them to food, they just eat it. They spawn every evening.

and if your tank would have been one that you would have had to supplement your mandy's food source because of low pod population you would have ended up with a mandy that refused to be trained to commercial foods

did you buy your mandis as a pair or did you buy them seperatly and are they laying eggs
