Purchased a toadstool along with two other corals for my tank. The other two corals have adapted fine but the toadstool has not came out. The tank has been running for 8 months with all water perameters fine. Dripped to adjust for 1 1/2 hours before putting i n tank. Water flow medium and lighting moderate. Any suggestions would be helpful Thanks in advance, Jim

Toadstools will often stay closed for weeks when put in a new tank. They seem to be sensitive to changes, but don't worry. As long as it's in good light, moderate current and not turning gray and mushy it'll open up eventually. You might see it shed a saran wrap looking film but don't let it scare you- it's perfectly normal.

Flow is important; they should be in a moderate flow with good light. Give em some time and soon enough you'll be complaining about how huge it's grown:)

Someone told me years ago that you'd have to take the toadstool out of the tank, kick it around on the floor for a while, and even then it might not die!

(Don't try this at home!)
