Toadstool Mushroom being lazy?

If you can stomach my algae problem on the back glass can anyone tell me if this is accept behavior of a toadstool mushroom? I had him standing upright on that rock, but he's just decided to lay down on it.

Should I stand him back up?

depends if you like it or not
If you don't like it prop it back up by putting a rock under it

If it gets really bad you can cut the stalk off just under the head and jam it between two rocks--it will grow again but closer to the rock.

Is that a toadstool leather? to me it doesnt look so healthy, I may say the it's suffering from the same nutrient issue that your algae seems to enjoy.

Toadstool are little SOB's

I have one that has done great in my tank, and another that when I added went from this:

I pulled it and stuck it in QT thinking it was gonna kick the bucket, but it came back fine in QT, and is faring much better this time around in the DT.

Moral of the story... they are known to pout from time to time... you just want to make sure you have good flow aimed in their direction so any skin they shed will be blown away from them, but overall leathers are pretty hardy corals.

They are little SOBs. I have another one that I'm gonna post because the other one I have has a little one growing not quite out of it, but at the base of the stalk.

The other is a green one. They are one of my favorite kinds of corals.

mine is going through a split right now:

from behind you can see that the stem has migrated to the rock below--there is just one small piece to move away from the main stem
