Hey guys,
First I'd just like to say hello as Im new to the forum (couldn't find an intro thread).
2 weeks ago I purchased a toadstool leather, and i've had problems with it since.
It has yet to open its polyps (i understand they can sulk for a while)
It began shedding within 2 days of entering the tank, and then it closed its caps like a fist and has refused to open, it seems to grow away from the light, my lighting is what is required for it, and the coral is high up in the tank. There is some tissue die off on one of the caps, any ideas what could be causing this?
My water params are at the correct levels (including trace elements).
Nitrates are quite high, water changes and skimming are slowly brining this down.
Any tips/help/advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Jack.
