$400 be careful.
Sometimes the colour is under a specific type of light. Lots have opinion here on which light is best. Each tank is different...
Also I've seen toad stools with long really cool tenticals and a grown frag of the same toad stool with short boring tenticals in a different tank. Who would of thought.

Wow $400! That's ridiculous for a leather! It sounds cool, and I've never seen anything like that before, but no coral IMO would warrant a price tag of that magnitude.
I didn't buy anything because of the price. I never jump on the tready coral when they come out. I wait for everyone to start culturing them and the price comes down. I still remember when a sunset monti was going for $100 for a 0.25 inch frag. I loved the coral but it was too rich for me. The price is WAY down from there.
That said, slap the Tyree label to neon spangled purple heart toadstool (or some such crazy name) and it seems skies the limit on what people are willing to pay. Then again I only buy domestic cars and not bmw's. But it's sure nice to window shop ;-)

LOL, I sold 10 of my Neon Green toadstools to them. Kinda think they're not the same ones though.

I agree on waiting for the price to come down. With how fast leathers grow and with them being very hard-to-kill, I'm sure that leather will be all over our area by next year *crosses fingers*

I think that when someone finds a shop with good stuff or good deals, with an honest owner, they feel like telling others about it.

I fail to see $400 being a good deal for a leather.. And if you looked at the ratio of his "schor posts" compared to his overall posts, you'd see my point. Merry Christmas!

I'm more commenting on the fact that posting about 1 shop over another may not always be shilling. The guy lives in Prospect Hts, so he's near SeaSchor. I'm near Norridge, so I post more about Coral Reef.

What does this have to do with profit? I hope when I post about a sale, great prices, cool coral or fish I see at a shop, I am helping out the hobby.
