Toadstool

Hello everyone,
I have a green toadstool that has a small area near the center that looks like a small hole the size of a pin head. Around the hole there is no color and no polyp extension in an area about the size of a quarter. When I touch the area it almost feels hollow. The rest of the toadstool doesn't seem to fully extend it's polyps.
Does anyone know what could be going on? Is this a bacteria of some type?
Thanks for any help.
Tony

I would try using a turkey baster and "clean" the affected area. Once clean, just let mother nature take over.

I have several large leathers and every once in a while, a section of one will get "ugly". Never had any long term impact.
