I've had this patch of algae in my DT for a few months...seems to be only on this one rock ...well my tomato clown has decided a few days ago to host it...he hasn't hosted anything ever in my tanks and now I feel bad to have to rid my tank of the algae lolhttps://vimeo.com/106352945

I know you feel bad about it, but just send him an eviction notice :-), give him a week and get it out. This thing will take over your tank in a few months if you don't get rid of it.

You can also get him an anemone. My two clowns go between the anemone and the Goniopora on the sand bed, which I don't like because every time it starts to come out, they jump on it and it hides, but what the hell, they like it.

I had the dame issue, but they are doing fine with out the GHA, I am looking to get an anemone in the near future and hopefully they will host that

Try a flower pot shoved in the rock or in a corner...I have multiple pairs that host in them.

On the good side it isn't GHA ...bryopsis I believe (looks like pine tree branches)...my nutrient levels are super low so it barely grows at all...he has a cave he used to use all the time but he likes the algae now when the lights are mostly off...going to pick up a compatible nem soon and clear algae off the rock...was just surprised he hosted the algae lol
