Tomato clowns and BTA

After a long waiting period, it has finally happened. My one tomato clown found the BTA the other day, but wouldn't let its mate in. This evening when I got back and checked, this is what I saw:

It's nice to know that they're pairing up well, and now sharing the anemone. The BTA has also been looking a lot larger since I've been feeding it pieces of silversides for the past couple of days.

nice photos, they look cute together, i hope eventually i can pair my tomato with another, ive been waiting until i know the one i have has morphed into a female to get another small one to try and pair.

Makes sense, I just got both at the same time and put them in together. They were originally in a tank with like 10 others.

That is a really nice picture. Very high clarity. How did you do it? Do you need a polarized filter or something? I haven't been able to take any fish pictures that good.

Thanks!

I used a Canon Rebel XT with the kit lens at 55mm. No filter was used. I believe I may have used the macro mode though for the shot, and used a flash since it was taken without the halide lighting on. I then just cropped then, and adjusted the colors using iPhoto and Photoshop.

The real trick is taking a lot of shots, and making sure you have a fast enough shutter speed when taking the shot (around 1/80 to 1/100 of a second or faster), otherwise it wont stop the movement, and things will be blurred.

I hope that helps.
