Tomini Tang chasing new Watchman goby??

This seems crazy to me. My tomini tang who I've had for about 8 months now is chasing around my new Diamond Watchman Goby.. Has anyone seen this? I just picked up the goby about two weeks ago.

Established tangs can be quite territorial/aggressive, no?

My Kole Tang relentlessly chased my Diamond Goby until I found him dead one day with a gash in his skin. I am confident it was the Tang and I've had a couple of other fish the Tang has slashed. They can be mean, but especially toward fish that compete in the same ecological niche - the Goby would sift the sand for the same algae and detritus the Kole or any bristletooth Tang would eat, so it is viewed as competition.
