tomini tang food

My little tomini doesnt seem intrested in nori or Ocean Nutritions red marine algae. I have feed it in a veggi clip and tied to a rock. He only seems to like brine shrimp and a little flake food. Any one have any suggestions? He seems to be getting a little skinny. thanks.

I've had my tomini for years and he took a long while to accept prepared foods...

Eventually he'll accept everything. For now though don't worry about nutrition... just worry about calories... whatever he's eating keep feeding him as often as you can to help him put weight on.

Mine gets fed Spectrum Marine pellets daily and frozen mysis shrimp once in a blue moon. The vast majority of its diet is brown algae, and there is plenty of that in my tank.

Mine was tiny and skinny when I got him. He wouldn't/couldn't eat anyhting like mysis, pellets, leafy algae. Tiny presoaked flake is all mine would eat, so I bought three different kinds. Now he eats, or at least tries to eat, anything. Still won't swallow, and can't bite apart, large pieces of anything.

My two are awfully shy, and just now venturing out a bit more.

They will eat some flake, try mysis, cyclop-eeze, and arctic-pods. They swim around picking at the rocks all day long.

Yep, I have two in my 120g.

They are about the size of an oreo. They have their little tiffs every now and then, but they are okay for the moment.

When they grow up a bit more one of them can go into a larger size tank.

Hopefully they will coexist for the long haul....love fish in pairs :D
