Toms 200g + system build

Starting to see and end to the construction. Drywall went up this week. Tile in the bathroom and laundry room starting tomorrow. Once that's done it will be paint floor and trim. Then the real fun starts [emoji3]

Well, we are going to be finished in the nick of time for Christmas. Floors are down. Bathroom finished trim is 90% done and there's just a few paint touch ups to be done and then a good clean. I start a 2 week vacation this weekend so its going to give me some time to start getting things in order. It's definitely been a stressful few weeks as we were really pushing to get finished before my folks arrive for the holidays but we got there. Adding all this space is going to make a huge difference in our living space and the dream of having my fishroom is pretty much complete.

Ok. So the house is done and the holidays are out the way! Time to move on at full speed. Now that iv created some space in the garage I'll be painting the stand today. Then I can move the stand and tank inside and start laying our the fish room.

I pretty much have all the equipment needed to get her up and running with the only plumbing parts and a dosing pump for my calc reactor being on the list.

We are so happy with the addition. It really turned out beyond our expectations and the fact that we could enjoy it for the holidays was a major bonus.

Thanks. All in all the process was pretty painless. We came in on time and on budget. Of course last Tuesday my old furnace died so that was the only unexpected cost we really had. Fortunately with the addition I have a second zone so things stayed warm. And the ac crew that were subbed to do the new work came out and put a new one in and cut me a nice deal.

Well. I can't get the tank out of the garage with this snow but I can start mocking up my scape. My plan is to get the fishroom wrapped up this week. Them I'm going to transition my old stock into my 70gl sump and get all the plumbing done. I have to break down the old tank first.

Use a two part putty and open it up a bit. You don't need a rockpile when you can have something a little more open.
A shelf or arch connecting the two is neat. Expand on that idea. Try not to have straight lines.

Thanks guys. Im going to play around with it some more and open it up. Then iv got the Marco rock cement so its all nice and solid.

Well. Once the paint is dried I can start laying out equipment. Got the fish room bench dealt with today. Rodi hooked up also.

Glued as much of the scap up as possible and then took the jigsaw puzzle apart. Moving the tank inside today hopefully. Started laying out the fishroom also. Big trip to the plumbing supply store come this week.

Damn. This tank was a beast. But she's in! Prescaping made this whole process so much easier. Trying to do this up on a step ladder would have been a nightmare.

Tommy , I still have two neck extensions for that skimmer . Looks like you have plenty of room for them , hit me up . Looks real nice following along , Pete

Progress! Got this thing 95% plumbed yesterday. Got some painting to do and a few extra plumbing part to get. Going to work on the electrical during the week and then hopefully water by next weekend.

I'm already feeling the benefits of the fish room. Having all this space to lay things out and not having to cram everything under the tank is worth the price per square foot alone [emoji3]
