Tonga Fusion Liverock

Not sure really, maybe a birdsnest? I clipped off a few pieces and put them in my reef tank so it wouldn't die off completely during the curing process. Any ideas on what it might be?

Yep, same place! There was a mixup on my liverock order the first time and I got rock that wasn't what they had set aside for me...as a result, Mitch sent me77lbs of this rock for free for the mess up. Pretty sweet rock.

The smell on over 550 lbs of rock was barely noticable. The rock was flown in from Fiji and was only out of the water for about 48-72 hours. On 550 lbs of Fiji rock you would expect a very foul smell and long cure time, but, this rock was totally cured in only 2 weeks....ie, no ammonia, no nitrite and just nitrate;) Fresh rock is the key to biodiversity...while the shapes leave a lot to be desired, the rock is teeming with life.

Nice looking, but really round.

Yes, definitely too round for my tastes as well, but it will be good for baserock and I will have to get some other rock, perhaps Kaelini or Va 'vau to mix it up a bit. The rock is definitely fresh and full of life though....ready to denitrify from day one.
