The wife's been wanting a purple firefish in the 24G Nano, so we took the drive to Tong's for the sale. A few thoughts:
1) It was fricken packed. It was a zoo. I'm surprised they had anything left, because there was a line 6 deep at the checkout. Someone had a box of about ~25 bags, and at least a few of them had SPS, so I'm sure they cleaned up today.
2) After hearing the pricing issues above, I was sure that they clearly marked the prices on my bags. In addition to the firefish, I picked up an Alveopora (Flowerpot) and 3 nassarius snails. My fault for not watching him grab the snails, I ended up with 2 empty shells and 1 snail when I got home. The Flowerpot's in great shape, though - open and extended within about 2 hours of acclimation. Tongs 1, Jeff 0.
3) I did notice on the receipt that I was charged $1.00 for "dry goods". I didn't have any dry goods. It's just a dollar, but I have no idea if this is intentional, of they've created some mysterious fee (bags?), or if the cashier just made a mistake. Annoyance, but nothing to cry about, but Tongs 2, Jeff 0.
All in all, I'm not unhappy - came away with 2 very cool items, a snail, and 2 empty shells.
