We have talked about this before, I have isopods in my tank but the good ones not the fish killing kinds. Recently I have seen a ton of them little, big in between everywere. They come out durring the day and they crawl they dont swim. Will they hurt anything? What about coral? Is there a fish that eats these?

Oh trottie bad news I cant find were to send your check so i guess i will just keep it.:rolleye1:

Most likely harmless isopods unless you see them on your fish...they die out after a while...not sure if they starve or are predated upon. I would consider them life and not worry about them....:D

I have checked and they are the harmless kind, what about a six linned wrase? Ive heard they eat stuff like that.

I wouldn't purposely get rid of them as if they were going to cause a problem. For the most part, they are great for your tank. They are a huge portion of the cleaning crew.

If you want a six line wrasse just because you like them, that's one thing. But IMO, there is no reason to get one to reduce the number of beneficial pods. They will often eat bristle worms too, but again most of those are beneficial.

The only reason those isopods are still living and possibly reproducing is that there is food for them to eat.

After they are gone what is going to eat what they currently do?

Could be a recipe for algae.
