Too clumsy...

I am having an issue with my tank.
Yesterday, everything was fine, water parmaters ok, cut back some cheato and move some softies from the DT to the refugium.
The calcium and alk. were a little low so I decided to use more 2-part. But I poured too much part1 on accident, about 40ml.
Today, most of my SPS are showing signs of stress. No polyp extension, my blue acro turned completely white , 2 different kind of montipora are still fine though...
I did a 30g water change and will do another one tomorrow.
I would appreciate any advise you could give me.

Could it be something else?

If my math is correct - a estimated 200 gallon tank with 40 ml added of part 1 - (Alkalinity I assume) would barely bring you from a 9 to 9.1 (400ml would be a 9 to 9.5). Hardly noticeable. The PH would certainly swing but unless you poured it right on top of your sps I could not see it being the cause. Did you dose in the sump?

Is the bleached acro right in front of the return or close to it?

How's the temperature fluctuations? Salinity?

I did dose in the sump. The salinity didn't change at 1.0235. The ph had a bigger fluctuation than usual from 8.03 to 8.42.
But I guess you are right about a different cause as I was talking with Mark from Exotic Aquatic and I told him I moved my xenia and leather coral because they were touching each other. So he believes that the chemical warfare between the softies hurt my more sensitive SPS.
So today I am setting up a hospital/quarantine tank. Got a Marineland 12g setup for $37 a Petco !! I will move my SPS in there hoping they will make it.

I think it is a good idea to run carbon in a tank with softies and SPS to help with the toxins that the softies produce - not necessary as some people have mixed tanks like that without carbon, but it does make it easier.
