i have an issue because my one spot foxface has taken a huge turn towards poor health. right now he is gasping for air at the top left corner of the tank by a return. he is in a 75 gal tank and my paramaters are looking better than ever.. i recently did a 15 gal water change (recently being the last couple of days) and a week before i did a 10 gallon change.
he is in there with a kole tang who is a little bigger than he is but they are about the same length, a couple of ocellaris, a diamond goby and a firefish. now, about three weeks to a month ago my power flickered off and on and my powerhead was flowing backwards. i didnt realize this until i noticed the foxface was stuck to the front of the powerhead. i was quick to free him but i dont know if this could be the cause. he has seemed fine since then eating, swimming, and his color has been amazing.. i introduced the kole tang after him tho and noticed the foxface's tail looks as if it has been nibbled at, this could be another cause perhaps?
earlier today (it is about 9:30pm now) my foxface seemed fine being his normal self but about five hours ago or so i noticed he started behaving strangely as he was sort of resting on the sand in the corner of the tank where he usually sleeps with his fins spiked up, then he moved towards the back where he was resting on a rock. i began to take notice as this wasnt his normal behavior and was different from what i was seeing just moments before. please give any advice as i feel i am going to find him dead in the morning.. it has been such a drastic turn for the worst in such a short amount of time i dont know what to make of it..
