Too many fish for a 58g?

I am upgrading to a 58g from a 40br. I have a euro-reef RS80 skimmer and 20g sump. Will the following list be too ambitious? I am keeping mostly sps with some zoos and lps

Coral Beauty (at home in the 40br)
Black cap basslet
Chromis x 5

I was thinking about keeping the stocking list low and was originally thinking:

coral beauty
black cap basslet
flame hawkfish

You should be fine as far as bioload, I have never had any luck with groups of chromis, even in a much larger 180 gallon tank, and they would always whittle themselves down to a pair. I find chromis to be rather boring and not especially colorful either. I love my yellowtail blue damsels, and most of the species from the genus Chrysiptera are pretty mellow. Check out the Talbot's, they are very passive for a damsel and a lot more interesting than a chromis IMO.

I have read the same about groups of chromis. For me there is just something about those fish that I love. I am seriously considering keeping just a few small fish. Fish that act naturally and wouldn't be seen all the time. I am not a big fan of clownfish for this very reason.

I think that your stocking list is fine also. I'd personally go without the chromis as well. Too plain IMO.

if you're looking for something cheap and unusual ,how about a rex damsel. I have two, and love them . durable but not mean to other fish in the tank,plus not often seen in peoples tanks (at least around here.)

Doesn't sound like too many to me, I have an Oceanic 58, and have a pair of picasso clowns, yellow watchman goby/tiger pistol, 2 firefish gobies, and a target mandarin. All are doing fine, water params are great!
