too many, just right, or too little?

I am downsizing my 75 reef to a 24 gallon 2006 aquapod "which is actually about 18 gallons on the dot".

I have been first moving my cleanup crew into the aquapod before I transfer the corols. So far I have 3 electric blue hermits, 4 electric orange hermits, and 3 dwarf red knees.

About 3 big turbos still in the 75 gallon, about 3 Cerith Snails already in the 24 gallon.

Is that # of inverts too many, just right, or too little?

I dont think it is too many, I would add maybe 1 turbo, not all 3. You could even go with more snails and crabs.

I would not add the big turbos to such a small amount of water; if one of them died it could cause problems. The hermits will eventually eat the cerith snails.

ok so no on the turbos. What about that sand sifting snail. Naisarus or somehting like that, never had one. You recomend them?

Also can anyone recomend some #s of the different inverts I can add. Thanks that would help a lot!

Nassarius snails will eat only added food.

I would transfer everything and see how it goes algae wise.
3 turbos may be a bit too much for 24 gallons, though.

5 Nassarius, 5 cerith snails, maybe 5 or 6 astreas, 10 or 12 hermits. should do the trick. I like to have extra just incase one or two die.

Here's my two cents. No more crabs, move over what you have. Then, if you have a sand bed, nessarius are highly recommended by the experts on DSB get about 10 of the nessarius sp. If other than sand, add about the same amount of additional ceriths and astraea.

The crabs will kill many of the snails and take their shells. Mine like the ceriths once they're big. The astraea seem to be spared. I like crabs so I just buy more snails.
