too many zoas...

I have way too many of one kind of zoas, and they are starting to take over my tank. I tried pulling them off with my sps frag tool. But it seams like a week later theres even more. Is there a way to prun them for good? or will they always grow back?

if your tank's conditions are good they will grow back... frag them back as far as you can and mount them on new pieces of rubble. Trade this rubble for other frags, to the LFS, or sell it at a frag swap!!

Then why are you looking to buy more? I read some of you latest post's and it seems odd? Frag the ones you have and trade them in at an LFS or just cut off the SPS and re-mount it
What do you have too many of?

If you have been in the hobby for "a couple of years" it should be pretty easy to figure out how to slow them down, remove the mat and you will be fine.

I wish you the best of luck!

I want some more color then just them. I love the zoa look, but not one kind taking over my tank. They started in one spot, and now i have them all over the tank. Im not sure what kind they are, i will post some pics.

I don't blame you, I like lots of color too & wouldn't just want one color taking over my tank. that's what happens with my pinks. Lots of folks to sell/trade them to though. Once you get the corner started (long nails are great for that!), the mat should peel off in pieces.
