Too many?

I have a 38 gallon tank. It's been up an running for about 4 years. There's live rock, corals, 3 shrimp, 3 blue legged hermits, assorted snails, one very friendly possum wrasse. I ordered 2 A.Ocellaris from Liveaquaria and somehow they sent me 4 (only charged me for two, thanks). They are juveniles, not quite an inch long and for now they seem to like each other. There's lots of caves and what have you to hide out, but these are young and staying together right now. Bio load shouldn't be a problem, but I worry about peace and harmony. Can this work?

I'm pretty sure that over time 4 will become 2. That said why don't you go trade 2 of them for store credit at your local lfs?

Love the Corgi!

I would wait with that until two start pairing up. Only after a pair has formed I would take the 2 extras out.

Since they are A.Ocellaris you could end up with all four getting along, but a better bet might be a trio. This is what I have in my tank. Yes my tank is bigger but they all stay together. The dominate pair have been breeding for the last 2 months. Also you can defiantly see the size issue Mom big, Dad med and Jr. small. have had them over a year & 1/2.

I would wait and see what happens. you will have time to pull the ones not getting along

I kept 8 clownfishes together once and never had a problem. One ended up growing much bigger than the others and was a gentle giant.

Got to be careful, 4 could end up being 2 from fighting for dominance.
