yes and no,

if u have a huge pump blowing at 150 x the tank volume out of stream pump directly at a coral then that is to much flow. but if u have 4 diffrent pumps or wavemakers/spraybars pushing 150 x the tank volume throughout the tank, that is a diffrent story.

i have done alot of snorkeling at the great barrier reef and looking at the corals, they are not blasted like crazy but the total water volume moves them.
