too much food?

Ok, my octo is "hungry" all the time! If I come into the room he dashes from his den and starts trying to lift the cover off! He just loves taking clams from my hand, taking as many as I will give him and carrying them around.

Should I take this as a sign and switch to dead food? If so, what should I be giving him? Kinda afraid of buying from the store.

I guess I should say that he's from www.octopets.com (recommended to all, btw) and his mantel is about the size of a golf ball.

The more you feed him, the faster he will grow and the faster he grows, the sooner he will die. You can have a fat, happy dead octopus or a lean, mean live one.

Seriously, I would at least cut down on the size of the portions or go to feeding every other day.

I always suggets every other day for the same reasons Roy stated, but could it also be that the temp is on the high side?
