Too much splitting

Since I moved to Oklahoma City, all of my fish and corals from my 72 gallon tank have been temporarily residing in a rather crowded 29 gallon. With lots of water changes and filtration which I believe to be abundant, all has been well. However one of my corals has been splitting like mad, and it's the type that grows too large to begin with. I am not sure what it is called, I always refer to it as a tree. Either way... I know it is not an expensive coral or anything, but I'm at a loss as to what to do with these little 1 inch or so branch-offs. If anyone would be interested please message me. I have about three of them and it appears that the main "mother-tree" is about to send a couple new ones off.

Picture isn't showing up for me, but it kinda sounds like my Kenya Tree, he does that alot, dropping little branchlets everywhere. I did notice that when I got him in an area of my tank with his prefered flow rate and lighting he stopped dropping as many, and instead grows really really tall and extended. I think when there not 100% happy where there at, they start dropping branches intot he current to try and get better locations. But I could be wrong.

Hehe - Kenya tree is ALWAYS available.... Just holler before the next meeting. Mine drops so many frag-lets that I just toss them in my sump where they grow nicely. I'll bring some up (as well) to the next meeting...

Ok I need some advice on this. The coral just split two major branches... it's growing way too fast... I'm afraid it's gonna end up taking over... i mean like i said before, this is taking place in a small 29 gallon tank i'm using temporarily while my bigger tank is in storage. it's overstocked as is. Any advice?

You could get rid of the mother colony and keep a frag.

Just a thought though.
