too soon for a water change

I purchased a bulb tip anemone on Saturday, it is doing fine, but my nitrates are higher than I would like, I was considering doing a water change tonight to get them down a little bit. All of the other levels are right where they should be. I did a 20% water change on Saturday, before placing the anemone in the tank. Is it too soon to conduct another water change, should I wait for the weekend. If it is not too soon, how much water is acceptable to change tonight given that the anemone was recently put in the tank on Saturday?

If the replacement water is the same temp., and sg as the tank, it shouldn't be a problem. You could do another 20% change if you want to. You want to figure out what's making the nitrates high and consider methods to bring it down (e.g., remote deep sand bed, chaetomorph, good protein skimmer).

4 days should be fine to do a regular WC.
ive done them in 3, and it made everybody happy. my sps seemed to like it the most!
i have a mixed, softie, lps, and sps display.
have you ever heard of sugar to drop your N03?
the recipie calls for 1/8 tblspn. per 100G. i use slighly less sugar than the recipie once a week in a high flow area (disolved in tank water).
my N03 hovers around 5-7!!!

thanks for the advice, I was away for a while and had a service taking care of my tank, I noticed when I came home my old condylactis anemone, and a starfish were gone, so I assume that is probably what raised the nitrates
