Yeah try that with 100 degree temp to see if that help..
 
The fans do help, even if the air is hotter. I think the best thing to do is to anticipate the problem by being aware of hot weather reports and getting some RO/DI ice ready just in case.

Another option to RO/DI ice is what we've done - simply fill quart bottles w/ water (leave a little space), screw on the cap and freeze them. I can float them in the sump or the main tank w/o changing the water chemistry at all. If those are two big, use smaller bottles.
