What type of things would everyone like to do next year?I know we have had topics from water quality to water flow.We have had do it your self type classes where we have made food and made sumps on our own. This year has been more of a social atmosphere and I think we need to focus a little more on the educational side.Don't get me wrong here but I do love to hang out with all my friends but it is nice to learn a new thing or two as well.I know I would like to have a make your own food class and maybe a make your own 2 part solution class as well.I would also like to work on a frag swap as well.

I saw that COMAS did something like pest and parasites in the aquarium. I think that would definitely be interesting. I also like your making your own food idea. Here are some things that I would be interested in, but I'm not sure if it is was you are looking for.

Supplements used in the aquarium

Different types of substrates (fine sand/larger sand/crushed coral/no sand bed/deep sand beds)??? Are there types that are better then others? Pros/cons?

Different types of Micro/Macro algaes and Phyto/Zooplankton. Maybe we can get some of this stuff going throughout the club. Benefits of having these?

I know that I really like DIY stuff, I'm sure other members do as well.

I apologize if this is all over the place. I am just taking a study break. =)

Yep, DIY stuff would be great.

- Make your own sumps (there is one going on at PetSmiths I think this month)
- Maybe some cool aquascape techniques.
- Fragging would be nice
- LED light DIY stuff

I'm sure they have, but i'm sure they are good to repeat. I plan on going to the "build a sump" workshop at PetSmiths everytime they do it. heck, you can sell the sump online if you don't need it :)

If Bobby is doing the class then it will be a good one.He held one back in 04 that I remember very well. That was my very first meeting.

After our last meeting I have been thinking of some of the things that I would like to learn about and feel that other people would also. Let me first start with the basic DIY.
Sump build is at the top of my list.
How to make a dependable ATO.
Basics of a fuge...light,sand, chaeto or other macro preference.
How to make a doser and what are people dosing.
Best ways to put ur tank on auto.
Then the next ideas that I have are getting to the basics of a tank.
Most popular water parameters and why? From Salinity to magnesium.
What are all those things in ur sump and what are the benefits and draw backs of each one.
How to frag and propagate corals mushrooms and anything else that you might desire to.
Then after discussing trading some things with a couple other members I think that we should have a tank diversity day after the frag class so that we can trade frags with other members of the club to save money and see maybe some rare or really cool stuff available to each other.

Sorry so long.
