Do a list of pluses and minuses for each as they relate to your wants and needs.
Razor:
If the light is going to be seen (not in a canopy) then the razor is a bit better looking.
It pulls less power if run at 100%
it has built-in legs.
It has Cree leds.
EverGrow IT2080/ Photon32:
Less expensive.
Comes with a fuller spectrum of led colors (has reds)
Comes with hanging kit.
Controller has remote (I find this very handy).
Things I can't compare because I don't know the Razor that well:
You can change/replace leds in the EG/RB, can you with the razor?
Do you like the legs on the razor? The last light I had like that, in a year the legs were corroding.
The razor has less leds clumped together where the EG/RB has the leds spread out over a much bigger area?
How hot does the razor get? The EG/RB barely gets warm even in my canopy.
How close to full power will you have to run the light to get the PAR you want? I have EG IT2080's and I run them at 90% blue and 40% white with a 200-225PAR at 22" deep. And I only run at that power level for 5 hours. Sure it's a 240w fixture, but at 65% power, that's only 155w.
The EG/RB controller can adjust power every 30 or 60 minutes. How many times does the razor allow for?
The EG/RB allows for controlling 3 moonlights as well. That does the razor do about moonlights?
I like to learn. So can anybody provide me with some answers? Thanks.
