Torn anemone

Hey, my anemone has been moving around my tank for the past couple days. I have had it for about 3 months at least. It is a BTA. It was getting close to my powerhead so i decided to try to carefully move it...when I was doing so I tore a hole is his foot about the size of a quater...will he be ok or do I need to remove him before parameters go haywire?

Since BTAs (( E. Quadricolor )) naturally split, I would just wait it out and see what happens.

Though, I would try to figure out why it has been moving around -- to me that indicates that something is off.

Well That is what I was thinking but I have excellent water parameters. 0 nitrates and nitrites. 0 ammonia. and ph is 8.2ish. I have a skimmer that is way overkill on my tank. Tank is a 55 gal and my skimmer is for up to 160. only thing is that i did turn the skimmer off for a little while the other day and it did start moving then...idk if that is why though

Doubtful that the skimmer would have anything to do with the bta moving. I have 8 or 9 rose bubbles and on occasion, one will start to walk. Just monitor and make sure they don't get into a powerhead.

As for the tear in the foot, should be ok no problem. I've literly ripped some of my rose bubbles in half trying to get them off rocks and about 2 months later, I have two healthy roses! So if you keep your water stable and adequate lighting, it'll be fine. Trust me, I've done everything that I can do to kill one and haven't succeeded yet; they're very hardy anemones!

Gotta love'em!
