24" tall maximum. That would leave just enough space to be able to remove the collection cup.

You can special order a short A150 that would fit within your stand and sump. Sent you info by PM.

AP600

AP600

My vote is for the AP600

In looking through your gallery, I see you have the kind of sump I'm hoping to create. Do you have a scetch of the plans for that sump? For the life of me I can't figure out how to lay such a pump out.

Thanks

That is an old sump. I have (2) different ones now. I'm in transition from my 90G to the 180g. The 90G has a 40G sump with a Deltec AP600 skimmer, Eheim return and a fuge. The 180G sump is in the basement and is a 75G with a ER RS250 skimmer, Gen-X Mak4 return, and a separate 30G fuge.

What exactly do you want to build? How much space do you have?

I want to use a 20 gallon long tank that I have. I just want a space for the skimmer, an area for a macro fuge, and then a small return area. My "drain" from the tank is just a single line overflow.

ER or H&S. The Deltec shouldn't even be considerd. It uses a weaker pump than the other two, and it has a smaller reaction chamber. The APF600 would be the skimmer to look at, but its like a a gazillion bucks....

I have owned both an A150 and an RS135. The RS 135 didn't have the new impeller ER released, so I don't know how well it will perform now. I would assume better. I was very happy with this skimmer.

I also like the A150, it was a great skimmer. Brian at finsreef hooked up the CS. They both will do a great job. It just depends on your budget.

Its tough to listen to others speak about ER because next to nobody has used their new impellers. So take what everyone says about ER with a grain of salt....
