Torn Foot on Anenmone

Bought my mom a long tent anenmone for christmas, 2 days later it was up side down and the red skin around the foot is all torn up. i flipped it beck over and it has balled up and looks bad what do i do.

Hope for the best, and make sure that the water quality stays in check.

Personally I have never been able to bring back an LTA from a damaged foot -- tentacles sure, but not the foot.

Don't suppose you have a picture of the foot?

Look for signs of it disintegrating, that is when it is done for. Up to that point, leave it alone, consider maybe even quarantine in bowl or something to keep anything in the tank from bothering it. A torn foot isn't always a death sentence, but it does take good husbandry to nurse one back. I would be curious about what caused the issue to begin with, maybe take some steps to avoid that again. I think a dragon goby started picking the bottom when it rolled over. the whole foot is now gone and it is just a ball of goo. it is in a bowl by itself and it looks bad but i bought a new one and i am hoping for thebest

I am hoping that you took out the other one, a dead/dying anemone can fowl a tank pretty fast.
